  A true Chelsea boot is all about proportions, materials and construction.   In other words, the vamp must draw a nice regular curve, ending on an neither too round nor too thin toe, with an elastic stitched on pieces of leather of the right thickness, assembled to form a robust construction (goodyear sewn with a thin rubber sole) and create a well-balanced boot which, from the back, rises in a water drop shape right up to the ankle.
